The first CNW branch commenced business in 1952 at Stanley Street in East Brisbane. The three owners, whose surnames were Cameron, Nielsen and Walters (hence CNW), started the venture with the financial backing of two well known local businessmen, Tom Messinbird and Leo Catt. In 1982, the company was purchased by Brian and Greta Webb. Brian, having been involved in the industry for over 40 years, knows and understands the business of electrical wholesaling. Concentrating on service, CNW expanded to be one of the largest Australian owned electrical wholesalers in the country. BRI-TECH is a Supplier and Manufacturer's Agent for a diverse range of Electric Power Transmission and Distribution products. Bri-Tech Pty Ltd, an Australian owned company, was established over 22 years ago in Perth, Western Australia. Bri-Tech distributes products to Power Utilities, Mining, Heavy Industry, Communication Providers, Transportation, Electrical Contractors, OEM's and Wholesaler Markets throughout Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

Our experience in these areas is supported by a technically strong sales staff and the resources of our operations across the southern hemisphere.

COLTERLEC was formed in July 1996 from a restructure of Dixontech Pty Ltd, a company with over 25 years experience servicing the Electrical Industry of Regional Northern NSW. Most of the team and supply partners were retained for our new operation to continue servicing our valued customers.

Located at Warabrook, the premises are centrally located to within the hub of Newcastle Industry and offer a fully operational display area and warehouse.
