Rexel Electrical Supplies’ long history and experience, as part of an electrical engineering company and now a member of a worldwide electrical distribution specialist uniquely positions Rexel to provide its customers with the latest in a diversified range of products, global purchasing power, stronger strategic supply alliances with international manufacturers and benefits from distribution efficiencies.

Trading as LAWRENCE & HANSON and AUSLEC, we now have over 180 strategically located branches across Australia in both metropolitan and regional areas.

Our mission is to be the leading value-added business to business distributor of Electrical, Safety and MRO products and services to the construction, industrial and OEM markets in the Asia Pacific region. We take pride in our work and are committed to continuous improvement in everything we do.

The first CNW branch commenced business in 1952 at Stanley Street in East Brisbane. The three owners, whose surnames were Cameron, Nielsen and Walters (hence CNW), started the venture with the financial backing of two well known local businessmen, Tom Messinbird and Leo Catt. In 1982, the company was purchased by Brian and Greta Webb. Brian, having been involved in the industry for over 40 years, knows and understands the business of electrical wholesaling. Concentrating on service, CNW expanded to be one of the largest Australian owned electrical wholesalers in the country. Looking after Australia’s own is not only our motto in business, but in the wider community as well. CNW is an Australian company that believes in supporting Australians at the grass roots level.
